Low Impact Colors

Look at the traffic light in this picture.   Notice that its color blends into the landscape. Also notice the utility boxes to the left of the traffic light.  They stand out and detract from the scenic value of this place.

The recommendations call for the use the same color for all poles, lights and utility boxes along a scenic corridor.  The chosen color should blend into the landscape.

Today, new "stealth technology" can be used by utility companies to hide equipment in fake "boulders" and "saguaros".  The recommendations call for utility companies to use stealth technology when ever possible rather than the traditional metal boxes and utiltily poles.
