Pima Road Scenic Corridor Gains Web Site
Scottsdale
resident Tim Montgomery has created a Web site that seeks to promote and
preserve the natural beauty of the Pima Road Scenic Corridor. The Pima Road
Scenic Corridor is two miles east of the Scottsdale Road Scenic Corridor in northern
Scottsdale.
According to Montgomery, the purpose of the ScenicPimaRoad.com Web
site is to chronicle the unique and pristine view corridor north of Pinnacle
Peak Road.
Tim is pictured here helping Friends paint utility boxes along the
Scenic Drive and with Tony Nelssen at Don Schoenau's memorial
dedication. Tim has the white shirt, Tony the black hat.
The site documents the impact of rapid growth along other
sections of Pima Road and provides information on issues now influencing the
corridor. These include:
-
New water pipeline installation
-
Scottsdale’s 16,600 acre expanded preserve
-
Motorist and contractor littering
-
Excess of commercial signs
-
City’s commitment to restoration and maintenance of
this scenic corridor
Visitors to the Web site will find photographs, news, notice of important
meetings and email addresses and links to construction-related information.
You will find a link to the Web site in the Links section of Community [Read
More]. For additional information about the Web site and related activities
