Volunteers Pickup Litter Along the Entire Scenic Drive
On Saturday, February 10th from 8 – 10 a.m., volunteers picked up all the litter along both sides of the road for the entire 6 mile length of the Scenic Drive (Scottsdale Road from Happy Valley Road to Carefree Highway). Volunteers reported at the Scenic Drive monument sign on the east side of Scottsdale Road just south of Jomax, or at the Drive Entry sign on the west side of Scottsdale Road just south of Carefree Highway at the Terravita Marketplace. Volunteers were assigned a cleanup area and given a safety vest, pickup stick and plastic trash bags. Veterans wore gloves and long pants. Free coffee, donuts and water were provided at both sign-in locations by Rawhide and Friends of the Scenic Drive. Join us on our next effort.
