Friends Launches Preservation Discussion Group

To discuss Scottsdale Preservation Issues On-line

What’s the status of Home Depot? What’s happening with Scenic Corridors? How much land has been acquired for the McDowell Sonoran Preserve?

Friends of the Scenic Drive is announcing two new ways to help you stay in touch with preservation-related issues.

  • Preservation e-group
  • e-mail notification

There is no cost to you, just beneficial information.

Preservation e-group

Our e-group is a way you can conveniently discuss and learn about local preservation issues. The idea is for group members with information to share it with those who do not, and as a result create a valuable knowledgebase on issues related these topics:

  • Desert Foothills Scenic Drive; e.g. Home Depot, …
  • Scottsdale’s Scenic Corridors; e.g. Upcoming bond election for improvements, …
  • McDowell Sonoran Preserve; e.g. Status of land acquisition, hunting, …
  • Arizona growth management initiatives; e.g. What’s on the November ballot?, …

You’ll use your browser to view e-mail messages sent by other members. You can join a current "discussion thread" or start a new one. You have the option of participating in informal on-line polls and viewing a calendar of upcoming events.

The e-group is private and will be monitored by Friends of the Scenic Drive. You can unsubscribe from the group at any time by simply sending an email message.

To learn more about it, send an e-mail to preserve@scenicdrive.org. We’ll reply with the information you need to get started.

e-mail notification
