Fun at Cookout at the Ranch II

It was a little on the warm side early on but that didn't stop Mac Donald's haywagons from rolling or Outback's cooks from firing up the grill. As evening arrived it cooled off providing a perfect setting for our second annual Cookout at the Ranch.

These pictures show just a few of the volunteers who made it all work. Thom Page, Marty Cambal and Howard Meyer were very busy from the git-go serving beer and sodas. More and more than 300 people lined up for a great steak dinner donated by Outback Steakhouse which they cooked under a blazing sun. And once again members of the Scottsdale Pride commission pitched in.

Unfortunately we don't have pictures of (or space for) the many volunteers and exhibitors who made this our best fund raiser yet but Friends thanks every one of them for donating their time and energy to the Desert Foothills Scenic Drive. Supporting the drive is something area residents have been doing for more than three decades.
